Despite the best cold weather gear the Empire could afford, Lord Anodyne Vao was losing the battle to make her teeth stop chattering. Hoth on a nice day was one of the most inhospitable planets in the known galaxy, and this was not one of those days. It had been a hour since the engines of their speeders had seized, frozen solid from the cold. Even with the help of the force the cold and wind blown ice pellets had slowed their pace to that of a infants crawl. Through blood-shot eyes she peered at the table next to her foggy headed and dry mouthed which was no doubt due to the half dozen empty stims and bottles of wine that had lulled her into false sleep. Raessa sat quietly, listening to the rain pitter-patter against the plexiglass.  Even through the rain was fake it still amazed her.  So many droplets, endless numbers all falling separately until they flowed back together again eventually as one.  To a puddle, then a stream, a river, then an ocean.  Only to get picked back up again in a cloud to renew their journey.  Back home, rain was a foreign concept, and a cause for celebration.  It gave life.  Here, in this fake place of stone and glass, it was just.. another Tuesday.
